All Special Interest Groups are maintained as sub-groups on Big Tent, our members-only site, and you must be a member of RVMC to join a Special Interest Group.

Here is a sampling of current Special Interest Groups. New groups are always welcome!

Infant Hiking Group
Join fellow mommies and babies for a morning of hiking & chatting each month. Most hikes are baby jogger friendly.

Book Group
The RVMC Book Group meets every six to eight weeks. Days, times, and locations vary. Sometimes we meet at a restaurant for dinner or Sunday brunch... sometimes we have a potluck at a member's home. Regular attendance at our discussions (or even completing the book) is not a requirement to join the group.

Working Mom's Group
The Working Mom's Group meets monthly during the week for lunch at a local restaurant.

Flick Chicks
Looking for a night without baths, stories and bedtimes? Please join other movie-going moms at our next Flick Chick outing.

We try to choose movies that are more female-centered and not at the top of most husband's lists. Usually movie nights are on the third Wednesday and/or fourth Thursday of every month. Newborns welcome. We also try to include older children at matinees when kid-appropriate movies are released. See you at the show!

RVMC Running Group
The group is for runners and joggers of all abilities and levels - from those just starting a program to those in marathon training. The group meets every Saturday morning at 8:30am and members run the distance of their choice -- usually between 3 and 6 miles on roads and trails. Local races are also an option if there is interest. We welcome runners of all fitness levels and encourage you to come join us!

Scrapbook / Album Group
Do you have endless photos sitting around that need to be organized and placed in an album? Are you short on time? If so, then this is the group for you! Learn how to quickly and creatively store your photos -- plus you get to socialize and have a beverage of choice without being interrupted! All experience levels welcome.
